Tasks

  • Design structural components and assemblies taking into account weight, cost, performance and production requirements using appropriate design tools
  • Ensure compliance of a detailed design solution with validated requirements for individual subsystems, devices, components or modules
  • Raising awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to acting with integrity to promote business success, reputation and sustainable growth
  • Ensuring the highest safety standards during the design process for structural components and assemblies
  • Adapting design solutions to specific production and assembly requirements to optimise efficiency and quality
  • Continuous application and development of design tools to create innovative and safe products

Qualification

  • Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, combined with many years of professional experience in manufacturing/production and aerospace
  • Proven design experience is essential for this position
  • Detailed design knowledge of structural elements/components and ideally VPM knowledge
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and non-metallic materials
  • Comprehensive user knowledge of Catia V5 and Catia V6 is required
  • Business fluent English is a must, German language skills are an advantage
  • Existing work permit for the EU
